Building Beyond the GPU

Presented under the title 「GPUの次をどう作るか ― CGLAアーキテクチャ開発の挑戦」 (Building Beyond the GPU - The Challenge of Developing the CGLA Architecture), the session explores the limitations emerging from today’s GPU-centric approach to AI computing, including the increasing impact of data movement and power consumption as AI workloads continue to scale.

The presentation introduces LENZO’s CPU Grounded Linear Array (CGLA) architecture and the thinking behind its development, including how new approaches to processor architecture can address the performance and energy-efficiency challenges of modern AI workloads.

The session also looks at how these architectural principles can scale across different deployment environments, from edge and Physical AI applications to larger-scale computing infrastructure.
